Philebrity.com » Blog Archive » ICYMI: This Year’s Cinedelphia Film Festival Looks Suitably Terrific, Bizarre

We’re just a few days away from the start of the 2016 Cinedelphia Film Festival, PhilaMOCA’s annual celebration of the fringes of cinema. This year’s offerings feature everything from a copyright infringetastic Nigerian remake of Purple Rain to a Degrassi retrospective with one of the long-running Canadian series’ stars in attendance. The above trailer gives you a taste of what to expect, mainly unpretentious cinema and a celebration of outsider culture that once again offers a sharp, needed contrast to the stuffiness that dominates other Philly fests. We’ll have more on this during the fest itself when it kicks off on April 7th, but for now enjoy the above trailer that provides a look at the madness that is in store for attendees.
