ERASERHOOD FOREVER 2014

About the Event:  PhilaMOCA is hosting the third installment of the critically-acclaimed ERASERHOOD FOREVER exhibit – an artistic celebration of the work of David Lynch.  It is being held in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art’s upcoming retrospective on the work of David Lynch.

The opening reception will be held on Friday, September 5 from 6:00 – 10:00 PM.  The exhibit will close on Saturday, September 27 with the ERASERHOOD FOREVER entertainment extravaganza featuring Lynch-themed musicians, comedians, burlesque, and surprises!

 

Submissions: All mediums are welcome (no hazardous materials); restrictions apply to video/3D pieces/sculptures.  Please send digital files or photos of submissions to curators Jay Bilinsky and Michael Carroll at [email protected].  Links are preferred for six or more entries.

There will be a $25 participation fee per selected piece of artwork, 100% of sales go to the artists.

Deadline for submissions is August 27, 2014.

Accepted Art Delivery: Drop-offs of accepted art can be made at PhilaMOCA (531 N. 12th Street) on Tuesday, September 2 from Noon – 6:00 PM. Work must be ready to hang and prepared for installation.  Art delivered by mail must include return postage and must arrive by September 2.

Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine ARts
David Lynch programming is in conjunction with David Lynch: The Unified Field at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), the first major U.S. museum exhibition of PAFA alumnus David Lynch, on view September 13, 2014 to January 11, 2015. Organized in close collaboration with the artist, the exhibition features over 80 paintings and drawings from all periods of Lynch’s career. It includes rarely-seen early work from Lynch’s time in Philadelphia (1965-70), a critical period in his creative development.
