Once again, eraserhood.com documentary photographer Bob Bruhin celebrates the Philadelphia neighborhood that inspired such diverse artists as David Lynch, David Goodis, and Sarah McEneaney. Bruhin’s “twisted views of a demented square mile” lovingly explore the rugged, gritty beauty of the classic industrial Callowhill neighborhood through the transcendent vision of a magical realist.
Bruhin has been working in and documenting the Callowhill neighborhood since 2007. He has exhibited in such diverse venues as West Philadelphia’s Seeds Gallery, Mt. Airy’s Highpoint Cafe, and PhilaMOCA’s 2012 Eraserhood Forever event.
This exhibition is sponsored by the Photographic Society of Philadelphia, in conjunction with Cafe 12.
