The Inquirer’s Double Down blog reports that the City Planning Commisison is embarking on a “listening tour” to gauge public opinion on the six proposals for Philadelphia’s second casino in advance of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s hearings in April. The listening tour will make three stops in late March:

  • South Philadelphia, Tuesday, March 26, 6-8pm at Lincoln Financial Field (1020 Pattison Avenue)
  • Center City, Wednesday, March 27, 6-8pm at the Center for Architecture (1218 Arch Street)
  • Old City, Thursday, March 28, 6-8pm at the Painted Bride Art Center (230 Vine Street)

Only Philadelphia would need a sign like this. The city is slowly but surely getting over its inferiority complex, and it’s about damn time. Still, the Philadelphia of 2013 is quite different from the Philadelphia of 1975. I didn’t want to post this, but it’s too damn funny.
