May First Friday – Mural Unveiling
First Friday, May 5, 6 – 8 p.m.
*Gallery opens at 6 p.m. / Mural unveiling ceremony at 6:30 p.m.

Join us this First Friday as we officially unveil our newest mural created by local artist Eurhi Jones!

Eurhi Jones was inspired by the metaphor of the Net of Indra, which comes from the Hindu and Buddhist traditions and describes infinite interconnectedness. It is the net of the Vedic god Indra, whose net hangs over his palace on Mount Meru and is illustrated by a net of linked lines extending ad infinitum across horizontal and vertical dimensions of space. An endless number of these nets criss-cross every plane. At each intersection of the net there is is a different type of one-celled organism. All events and beings are interdependent and mutually co-create each other. The universe is dynamic in all dimensions and scales of activity, with every action affecting and generating others.
