Last to make a presentation, at 3 p.m., will be Bart Blatstein. The developer is touting the Provence at 400 N. Broad St. and gave a tour Monday of the property – once home to The Inquirer, the Philadelphia Daily News, and Philly.com – and what he envisions as a $700 million casino-entertainment complex.
Earlier this month, Blatstein’s Tower Investment announced that it has dropped Hard Rock Resort & Casino as its casino operator in favor of Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. Blatstein also secured an infusion of cash for the Provence last week after selling off 60 percent of Tower Investment’s holdings in Northern Liberties. Although no price was disclosed, that property was valued at about $130 million.
